Gordon County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm a person's custody, release anyone, post bond, or retrieve an official booking record. Contact the agency that created the record for an authoritative answer.
Where Official Help Begins
For a Gordon County jail record, booking photo, current custody question, or records request, start with the Gordon County Sheriff's Office. The following contact details come from the sheriff and county pages. Their hours and charges can change, so call before a visit.
Gordon County Sheriff's Office
Address:
2700 Highway 41 North
Calhoun, GA 30701
Main and non-emergency: 706-629-1245
Jail directory line: 706-629-1244

Lobby hours: Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The county jail directory lists jail office hours as Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Confirm the correct desk before traveling.
The records custodian listed on the sheriff's request page is Terry Swaim at terry.swaim@gordoncountyga.gov. Requests may be submitted online, by phone, by mail, or in person. Mail requests can be addressed to Gordon County Sheriff's Office, Attn: Public Records, 2700 Highway 41 North, Calhoun, GA 30701. The request page asks for identifying details such as the incident date, case number, location, and report type. An identification document may be requested, but the page says ID is not required just to make an open-records request.
| Request detail | Published Gordon County information |
|---|---|
| Booking record or photo | Ask for the existing booking report and booking photograph, with the name, date, approximate time, agency, or booking number if known. |
| Response timing | Georgia's Open Records Act generally calls for a response within three business days, which may be production, a timetable and estimate, or a lawful denial. |
| Posted labor rate | $21.68 per hour after the first 15 minutes, billed at $5.42 per quarter hour on the August 15, 2026 schedule. |
| Copies and estimates | Paper copies are listed at $0.10 per page. Notice is provided for anticipated costs over $25, and prepayment can be required over $500. |
When asking for a booking photograph, the request must include a truthful statement that the use complies with O.C.G.A. ยง 35-1-19(c), including the restriction against placing the image with a publication or site that charges for removal. Do not promise that a request will produce every item. Exempt material may be redacted, and an agency does not have to create a new record.
Choose the Right Record Holder
The quickest answer depends on who created the record. Use the county search hub for the roster, the 24-hour booking view, the date-range search, court bridge, and records-request detail. Use the Most Wanted Fugitives page for the sheriff's selected wanted notices and safe warrant-check path. For other questions, use the matching route below.
- To check a person currently listed or recently booked, use GCSO's official inmate portal. Its public interface currently does not show photographs.
- To trace a court filing, call the Gordon County Clerk of Superior Court at 101 South Piedmont Street, Calhoun, GA 30701, 706-629-9533. Clerk hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- For a Calhoun-created incident, use the Calhoun Police Department and its city custodian. Calhoun's city cash-bond route is the Municipal Court, not the jail.
- For Fairmount-created material, call the Fairmount Police Department at 706-337-5503 or City Hall at 706-337-5306. The city site also lists fax 706-337-4676.
- For a sentenced state prisoner, use the Georgia Department of Corrections offender search. It is not the county booking roster.
- For federal custody, use the BOP locator. For ICE custody, use the ICE Online Detainee Locator. Neither is a Gordon County mugshot source.
- For a custody-change notice, Georgia VINE covers county jail notifications, while Georgia V.I.P. covers GDC and parole information. Neither service is a photo archive.
